6/16月【暑い一日・English immersion class】

【朝休み】

毎日取り組んでいるＥＥシート。今日は、明日の交流に向けて、韓国語バージョンになっていて、楽しく韓国語の練習をしていました。

朝から暑さがきびしい一日となりましたが、水分補給を意識し、６時間目まで集中を切らさず頑張った２年生。暑さに体を慣らしながら、学習に励んでいます。また、学級活動の時間には、発表会の振り返りや席替えを行い、気持ちを新たにしました。

On Monday this week, we had a math and P.E. English immersion class with Paul sensei.
Here are some comments about the class.

【P.E.】

 It was very hot today so we stayed inside in the hall for PE. We learned a game called Kagome which the students will be demonstrating to the Korean students tomorrow, very interesting. Then we played a game of tail tag where we put out cap in our trousers (like a tail) and play a kind of tag. We don’t run, we walk and when we catch someone we say `I got it, here is your cap`. Later we played with the balls – throw and catch.

【Math】

Addition. We were using the vertical method of addition. Using the tens and ones columns and carrying the one where necessary. For example when adding 35 and 45 we first add 5 and 5 in the ones column (10) write the 0 and carry the one over to the tens column. We then add 3, 4 and 1 to get 8 in the tens column. This gives us the total of 80. We worked through examples of these in our exercise books, taking care to write numbers in the correct columns.
