4年生は電気の単元に入りました。
3年生では、電池、導線、豆電球をつないで回路を作ると電気が流れることを学習しました。
4年生では電流の向き、大きさについて学習します。
今回はその導入として、プロペラをつけたモーターを組み込んだ回路を作りました。
暑い日が続いているので、風を浴びて涼しそうにする児童が多く、互いにプロペラを向けあって涼む様子も見られました。
また、なぜかプロペラが回っているのに風が来ず、不思議そうに何度もプロペラを眺めたり、回路を組みなおす児童もいました。
回路の組み方によってプロペラの回る向きが変わるため、風が吹く方向が変わります。
次回は、この気づきから、風の向きとつなぎ方の関係について実験し、調べていきます。

In addition to the basic structure we also described toys.
ex) My favorite toy is a stuffed animal. It is white and round. It’s cute.
Most of the students seemed to enjoy speaking in English and doing the warm-up dance. There are some great and enthusiastic dancers!
