【朝根っこタイム「ペチュニアの植えかえ」】

５年生教室で黒ポットで育てていたペチュニアの苗を、植木鉢に植えかえる作業をマラソン後の朝根っこタイムに実施しました。

ポットの中はペチュニアの根っこで固められていると思っていたのですが、そんなポットばかりでなく、土がくずれて植えかえがうまくいかない５年生の姿も見られました。根を保護しながら、慎重に作業を進めていました。

５年生の教室の前には、理科室で並行して育てていた苗が置かれています。その苗は花を咲かせています。赤色の色鮮やかな花です。それにはつぼみもたくさん見られ、これから多くの花がこんもりと咲きそうな感じです。

今日、植えかえた５年生みんなのペチュニアも、たくさんの花を咲かせることでしょう。水やりや雑草抜きなどのお世話をきっちりと行い、大切に育ててほしいと願います。

【English】~Action words~

All the students could repeat the vocabulary and make short sentences. Some of the students can read as well. The main focus was on speaking in sentences so not all of the vocabulary was covered.

Not only did they speak a lot today but the students also enthusiastically (and carefully) demonstrated how high they can jump, how far they can bend etc. Some are very flexible!
