【お楽しみ会】

今日は、学級活動の時間に「お楽しみ会」を行いました。

内容は、先週の学級会にて「リレー」と「ドッジボール」に決定していました。

リレーは、最後まで勝敗が分からず、わずかの差でゴールしました。

リレーの後は、公式ドッジボールを行いました。

久しぶりの公式ドッジに「なつかしい！」と話しながら、最後まで真剣勝負ができました。

【国語】

「大造じいさんとがん」のお話について学習を進めています。

今日は「情景」と「心情」のつながりについて考えます。

まずは、教科書の文から「情景」にあたる文を探します。

何度も出てくる情景描写に線を引きながら、周辺の文から誰のどんな心情を表しているのか考えました。

【昼根っこタイム】

今日は、これまでに書いた「作文」の返却を行うと同時に、記録として残すため、「今の私」をテーマに最後の作文を書きました。

作文の記録は、当時を思い返して読むと元気づけられたり、背中を押されたりすることがあります。

今の自分を記録に残すため、未来に向けてのメッセージを自分のために書きました。

ぜひ、未来のどこかでまた読み返すことができるといいですね。

【SDGs and Africa】

This morning, we welcomed a wonderful guest from Africa, who has just come back from Malawi last week. He shared his experience with students. It was a rewarding time for us and we learned a lot about Africa and SDGs. Here is his comment.

[My impression on the lessons which I had with the students at Bunkyo School.]

Today I had a chance to teach Grade 5 elementary pupils at Bunkyo School. I focused mainly on the Sustainable Development Goals under this topic.

I chose Poverty, Hunger, Education, Access to water and Sanitation and Climate action.

My approach was to compare and contrast the achievements made by Malawi and Japan.
In a very honest way, Japan has achieved more of these SDGs than Malawi. During my lesson, pupils seemed very interested and interactive.

At the end of the lesson, the pupils were given a chance to ask questions and indeed they asked many interesting questions about Malawi.

My impression is that pupils are more interested to know about Africa and this is an opportunity for teachers to explain to the pupils more about Africa. Challenges which Africa is facing is global and will affect all part of the world.
