【朝根っこマラソン】

火曜日の朝は、毎週「根っこマラソン」に取り組んでいます。

今日は、小学校の運動場を使って４分間走を行いました。

夏も近づき、朝の気温はどんどん高くなっています。

熱中症に気をつけながら、毎日の活動に取り組みます。

【理科】

今日は午後から授業参観でした。

初めに「メダカの卵の成長」について復習問題をしました。

続いて、本日の主題に入る前に復習です。

「植物の発芽の３条件」を思い出しました。

ここから次に、発芽後の苗が成長するための条件を考えます。

５年生理科のテーマは「実験の条件」を考えることです。

成長の条件は２つ、「光」と「肥料」です。

インゲンマメの苗２つを見比べて、この後の成長を何で比べるのかを考えました。

ポイントは「数字で表せること」です。

【English】

Today, the 5th graders practiced their self-introductions for the Korean visitors coming tomorrow. Everyone did a great job with their presentations and only needed a little bit of coaching with some pronunciation. For example, the words “favorite” and “subject.” 

The students were then introduced to the idea of “The Order of Operations.” They were taught the words first, second, third, then, and after that. They were introduced to the topic using a recipe for Rice Krispies Treats.
