前回の白川生き物調査で、えびをたくさん捕まえた4年生。今回は、白川に水質調査に行きました。事前に、白川は生き物が住みやすい川なのかを考えました。「初夏には蛍がいる。」「水がきれいだから住みやすいと思う。」「川の流れが速いのは住みやすいのかな？」と、知っていることを出し合って、考えを共有しました。
学校を出てすぐそばの白川に到着。まずは水草の観察、そして、水質調査をしました。
２種類の水草を発見し、川の水調査キット（パックテスト）を使って川の水質を調べました。測定値を読み取り、COD（化学的酸素要求量）や窒素、りんの多さを調べることができました。
調査の合間に、川の生き物調べに夢中になる４年生。
今回もえびがたくさん・・・。足長えびは得に子ども達に人気でした。

They learned some additional phrases.
What is your dad’s job? He is a police officer. / What is your mom’s job? She is a teacher. / What is their job? They are veterinarians.
They are getting ready for their upcoming sports day so our warm-up dance was the Macarena. They can dance well! I am sure they will perform well on that day. Many students spoke a lot today. They answered the QOTD; “What is your favorite autumn activity?”, spoke in full sentences and answered questions about jobs. How wonderful!
