【総合「発電の学習」】

水力発電について学習している4年生。以前の総合学習では、手回し発電機を使って豆電球を光らせ「電力」について理解を深めました。今回の学習では、水力発電の仕組みを簡単に確認し、発電量を増やすにはどうしたらいいか予想をたてました。「大きなモーターを使う！」「速く回す」「回し続ける」

早速、実験です。

回す速さを2パターンに分けて、コンデンサにたまった電力を豆電球が光る時間で比較しました。回す速さが3倍になると、たまった電力も3倍になる結果となりました。

説明を聞いている時は好奇心いっぱいの表情で、コンデンサにたまった電力で手回し発電機が自動で回るのを見た時は、「不思議～！面白い！」と目が光りました。

Grades 4 played the game “Hot potato” as a review game.

The objective was to pass the “hot potato” around the class while music was playing. When the music stopped the student caught holding the “hot potato” had to say a sentence in English.

Some example sentences were:

“My favorite character is Pikachu.”

The students all spoke in English and had a lot of fun playing games.
