先週の生活科では、球根の観察をしました。

球根は、アイフェイオンとラナンキュラスの2種類です。

今日は、植木鉢に植えました。

まずは、土入れです。

ふかふかの土を準備しました。

そして、穴をあけ、球根の向きに気をつけて植えていきました。

球根にやさしく声をかけながら、植えていた様子はほほえましかったです。

成長が楽しみですね。

Warm up: we practiced the months and took turns reciting them. "Today is November." "When is your birthday?" Students could answer and get help from the teacher learning their birthdays in English.

Target language: "How do you celebrate your birthday?" This got them excited! "We eat cake!" "We sing Happy Birthday." Next, we used this model to try again with Christmas which basically elicited the same answers although happily. "We get presents." "How many presents do you get?" Then the remembering began!

Finally, students wrote the sentence with their birthdays and drew their own birthday cakes!
