Using the clock to work through many examples. Where is the big hand, the small hand? How many hours and how many minutes. I gently introduced the idea of quarter past, half past and quarter to.

【English】

We had a great lesson with activities. Starting with charades, we had to pretend to do something (action, verb) or be something (thing, noun). Then, we went around the class asking our friends about likes and dislikes before reporting this information to the teacher. 

Later we played a game of guess who – Is it a girl or boy? Does he/she like ___? It’s ___!

【生活科】

「作って遊ぼう！」の学習で作った「すごろく」「かるた」「福笑い」で遊びながら、６年生と交流しました。

６年生が色々なコーナーを回ってくれて、一緒に楽しく遊んでいます。

１年生は自分の作った遊びを嬉しそうに説明し、６年生は盛り上げてくれたり、やさしくサポートしてくれたりしながら、どのコーナーも笑顔がいっぱいでした。

あっという間に時間が過ぎましたが、６年生から「また休み時間に一緒に遊びたいです」という嬉しい感想をもらい、にこにこ笑顔でうなずく１年生の姿がたくさん見られました。

６年生に「すごいね！」「おもしろかったよ！」「また遊ぼうね！」「ありがとう！」などと声をかけてもらいながら、すてきな時間を過ごすことができました。

６年生のみなさん、ありがとう！

交流会の最後に、今週の金曜日に行う「ありがとう茶会」の招待状を渡しました。

お茶会も、６年生のみなさんと楽しい時間を過ごしましょうね！
