Today we continued to use the clock - big hand, small hand. This was a great chance to introduce some very useful words – clockwise and anti-clockwise. Big hand and small hand always move clockwise, wouldn’t it be interesting if the hands moved anti-clockwise? We became babies again!

【P.E.】

During warm up we used ‘clockwise’ and ‘anti-clockwise’ to describe the direction we were moving our arms round and round, then we played a couple of games of tag. In the second game we had to catch the tail! – ‘I got you, you are it!’ 

To end with, we enjoyed a great game of dodgeball.

【生活科】

1年生との七夕集会に向けて、七夕飾りをつくる練習をしています。1年生に教えてあげられるように、上手につくる練習です。今日は、まず天の川を作りました。

切れ込みを入れ、最後に上下に伸ばしていく瞬間が楽しかったようです。

上手くつくれるコツを1年生に伝えてあげられるといいですね。
