2days ago, February fourteenth, was St. Valentine’s Day.

At school we read a valentines book with the students and had a short lecture about the meaning of this holiday.

We also watched a short animation about the making and giving valentines cards to our friends and family.

Then, the students had an arts and crafts lesson where they made valentines cards for their families.

We practiced English phrases and vocabulary for giving and for folding and cutting paper.

And then they practices writing English phrases inside the Valentines cards.

Everyone had a lot of fun. We wish everyone a happy valentine’s day!

【今日の給食　2/16】

・牛乳
・ちくわの磯部揚げ
・チンゲン菜のサラダ
・豚汁

☆ 竹輪は揚げる衣に青のりを混ぜました。風味がよくなり、竹輪の色合いも華やかになります。おいしく仕上がりました。

☆ チンゲン菜ともやしのサラダは、シャキシャキとした食感がおいしいサラダです。どちらの野菜も火の通りが早いため、加熱時間に注意して調理しました。

☆ 豚汁は大根や人参など根菜がおいしい味噌汁になりました。豚肉は一度湯がいて、脂を落としてから、出汁に入れると余分な脂が切れてよりおいしくなりました。

明日の給食は「いかの煮物」です。お楽しみに！
