【根っこマラソン】

冬を明確に感じる季節になってきました。

特に朝・晩は、必要がなければ、あまり外に行きたくないなあと思ってしまうような気温の日が続いています。

コタツに捕らわれて運動不足になりがちなこの季節にこそ、マラソンです。

寒い！寒い！とキャッキャ言う児童を外に連れ出して、今日もマラソンを行いました。

マラソンは、児童達の体力向上と運動の習慣を身につけさせるために行っています。

毎日、運動不足の心配がないほど外で走り回っている児童達ですが、この週1回のマラソンの時間が体力づくりの一助になっていれば嬉しいです。

Warm up: A quick talk about Santa Claus and the difference between naughty and nice boys and girls. Finally a very nice photo of Santa was displayed showing a very familiar face.

Next the younger learners joined the competition with Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays in an A/B Holiday drill train around the classroom. The first graders did exceptionally well and impressed the second graders. Happy Holidays to you too!

Our 5 week review was as high tension as ever with children showing a remarkable amount of English retained. We covered all lessons from Halloween to animal habitats to body parts to action words to the Autumn Festival!
