11/21火【概数を使って表そう!】

【算数】

「概数とその計算」のまとめをしました。

身近な数量を概数を使って表します。

学校の中で調べてみたいことを出し合い、「運動場の面積」「机の数」「2階の廊下の長さ」を調べました。

グループ毎に写真を撮り、調べて分かったことをタブレットにまとめながら、概数で表しました。

【昼根っこタイム】

「県庁所在地」の学習に取り組んでいます。

都道府県名と県庁所在地名が異なるところを中心に、正しく漢字で書けるように覚えています。

【English】

We began as we had with all classes today, focusing on the difference between good jokes and bad jokes and it is never funny to make fun of people. I asked the children how they thought how I felt after being made fun of for my cane and limp. They emphatically replied “Sad” with earnest worry in their eyes. They learned the difference between just saying “I am sorry” and understanding the problem. The support I received from my teaching partner and the students was overwhelming and I left today happier than I had arrived despite this incidence.

Story: Walking Through the Jungle. We chanted the story together and explored habitats of animals with big illustrations and sound effects. The energy turned up to full power.

The world print with 7 continents provided an animal search and today’s target language. "How many alligators do you see?" "Where do monkeys live?" "Does Japan have Polar Bears?" "I see 3 alligators!" "Monkeys live in Asia, Africa and South America." "No, we don’t!"
