【家庭科「手縫いの手順を習得しよう」】

前回の授業で玉結びを習得し、いよいよ「針に糸を通す」「玉結びをする」「玉どめをする」

という手縫いの一連の手順を何度も練習しました。

まずは糸を斜めに切って「さあ、糸を通すぞ！」と小さな針穴とにらめっこ。

糸が通ったときは「やったー」と喜びの声も上がっていました。

糸を短く持てば針に糸が通しやすいのではないかと、実践の中で工夫を考えながら作業を進めていました。

回を重ねる毎に上達し、見た目にも美しい玉結びと玉止めができるようになっていました。

次回は、なみ縫いや返し縫いなど、いろいろな縫い方やボタン付けにも挑戦します！

【English】

Today we worked on some techniques to recognize if the past tense is being used in English conversations. We saw some key phrases such as the use of “LAST” as it is used in phrases such as “last week”, “last weekend”, and “last year”. We also looked at the use of “AGO”. We also briefly looked at how verbs change with the use of “ED” when they take on their past form. These are all words that indicate past tense. 

We also discussed what we did during golden week and modeled questions asking about the past. In addition to this we looked at the phonics phenomenon of “IGHT”, “AUGHT”, and “OUGHT” and came up with examples in class.
