今日は節分です。はじめに、“鬼は外 福は内”の英語表現を学びました。

ポール先生が鬼の役をしてくださり、みんなで豆をまくまねをしています。

Today we celebrated Sestsubun here at school. Paul sensei played the character of the Demon and the students shouted “Monsters get out!” as they chased out the demons from their classroom. After they welcomed the “Angels” and invited the good luck to please come in!

その後は、本校のグローバル月間に合わせて、ポール先生から母国のカナダについて、お話を聞きました。カナダの場所や、暮らしについて写真や映像を見ながら学びました。

色々な生き物・動物に興味を持ち、「氷上の格闘技」とも呼ばれるアイスホッケーの映像に驚いている姿が多く見られました。

Then, we had a lesson about Paul sensei’s hometown Victoria Canada. We talked about all the amazing animals that live near the city, and some of the problems that they have. We also talked about popular sports and seasonal activities.

【中間休み】

休み時間の楽しみ方が、また一つ増えました。
わくわくしながら体育館に行き、お兄さん・お姉さんたちの作品を鑑賞しています。

「いろいろあって、楽しかった！」
「どの作品も、すごかった！」
「すごく上手だった！」
など、教室に戻った後は、楽しく鑑賞した感想を聞かせてくれました。

【昼休み】

火曜日の昼休みは、運動場で遊べる時間です。
ドッジボールのルールを覚えて、自分たちで楽しく遊びを進めています。

また、大縄跳びも大人気です。
教頭先生が縄を回してくださり、楽しく跳んでいます。
